PROAP funding  

CAPES' Postgraduate Support Program (Programa de Apoio à Pós-Graduação, PROAP) aims to provide better conditions for the training of human resources and for the production and advancement of knowledge in stricto sensu postgraduate courses maintained by Brazilian public institutions. The PPGEE receives Proap funding each year (the amount varies), and makes it available (usually in the form of daily allowances) to students and teachers through a specific internal call for proposals. Access to Proap funds in the form of per diems can be requested as financial aid for: 

1. participation in a course or discipline at another PPG, as long as they are related to their dissertations and theses 

2. participation in scientific-academic events em Brazil or abroad 

3. data collection in the field
