Admission to the PPGEE will be through a selection process described in a specific announcement and coordinated by an Examination Committee appointed by CEPG.
1. The Examination Committee will be composed of PPGEE advisors or recognized external members appointed by CEPG who hold at least a Ph.D. degree.
2. The Examination Committee is responsible for drawing up, updating, and carrying out the selection procedure in accordance with the rules contained in these Regulations and in the Internal Regulations for Postgraduate Studies and Research at Unifesp.
The selection procedure for admission to the PPGEE consists of three stages:
I. The first stage is a discursive test to evaluate the knowledge of ecology and evolution. This stage is eliminatory and classificatory and only candidates who obtain a minimum score of 50% go on to the next stage;
II. the second stage (also eliminatory and classificatory) is an interview conducted by a board of examiners. This stage consists of an oral assessment of the candidate based on the research project and previous experience in the field. Candidates who score a minimum of 50% will advance to the next stage;
III. The third stage is the evaluation of the curriculum vitae. This evaluation is classificatory and is based on the curriculum evaluation table drawn up by the board of examiners, approved by the CEPG and published in the selection notice. Single paragraph. It is the responsibility of the selection board to determine the criteria and weighting for each stage of the selection process, which will be specified in the notice.
The number of vacancies to be offered in each call will be determined by the CPEG of the PPGEE and will depend on the availability of supervisors, and the number of grants and infrastructure available.
1. The selection processes for admission to the PPGEE must reserve vacancies for black, quilombola, indigenous and disabled people, in accordance with PROPGPq Decree 3197/2021.
2. Opening of registration periods for the candidate selection will be announced by public notice on the PPGEE website and other electronic media.
At the time of initial registration, the student must present the formal acceptance of the PPGEE advisor.
In order to complete the initial registration, the student must provide the documentation required by the Postgraduate Secretariat and the CEPG, in accordance with the current legislation established by the CaPGPq and the PROPGPq.
At the time of enrolment, the "Declaration of applicants to the PPGEE" and the "Confidentiality and responsibility agreement", both signed by the student and the advisor, are required. These documents certify that the student and supervisor are aware of the institution's research ethics obligations and standards.
